A useful guide to help best prepare your pet for your trip.

I offer and suggest a free “get to know you visit”. On this visit, I will meet you and your pet(s) and you can guide me through more detailed instructions for their care.

Please be sure to list all medications and which pet (if more than one) each med belongs to, the dose, time of day, and any other important information I would need to know on the information sheet linked below.

Please be sure to leave plenty of extra food and treats for your pet(s) before your trip. If your pet’s food and treats are not in their original packaging, please specify which food brand and variety you use on the info sheet in case it does run out.

If any special requests are needed please explain on the “get to know you visit” so that I will be best prepared to care for your pet(s) while you’re away.

Ex: fish/turtle tank conditioning or brushing fur

Decide how much contact you want to have with me. I offer daily text updates but some clients prefer a different frequency of contact.
Ex: daily, every other day, or none at all
( other than for emergencies and communication about departure and arrival times )

If you also need house sitting tasks to be fulfilled such as retrieving small packages or mail, taking the trash out, turning lights off/on, watering houseplants, or coordinating with maintenance staff to maintain the upkeep of your home, we can discuss and negotiate your needs. Additional fees will be assessed based on the requested duties and complexity of the tasks.

Most homes have multiple forms of entry, whether that be via the garage lifter, key, or an access code. In case of a power outage or any other mishap, please provide at least two ways of entry into your home so that I am always able to get to your pet(s).

Provide your home’s ideal temperature range, if you would like, in a case of weather changes.

Is there a certain place you keep your pet’s carrier tucked away? In case of emergency, this could be useful information for me to know ahead of time.

You can inform me during our first meeting, on the info sheet, or have all accessories and pertinent items out and easy to access in the main areas I will be attending to.

Please list an emergency contact that resides in town on the information sheet. Notify any pertinent contacts ( your pet’s emergency contact and/or neighbors ) that I will be caring for your pet(s) while you’re  away.
